Our group classes are all about practical, positive training in a supportive environment. We start with the foundations and, if you fancy taking things further, there’s plenty of room to keep progressing.

Teamwork Award classes

Bronze

Wednesdays 7pm | 6 weeks | £90

Our Bronze Teamwork Award is all about building the foundations for a dog who can actually function in the real world – not just perform a sit in your kitchen when there’s nothing else going on.

Over six weeks, we’ll work on practical skills including focus and engagement, recall, loose lead walking, stays, impulse control, handling and working around distractions.

We’ll also help you understand how to get the best out of your dog, how to reward the behaviours you want and how to build those skills into everyday life.

Bronze is suitable for puppies and adult dogs who are new to structured training, or dogs who need to brush up on their foundations.

Silver and Gold

Wednesdays 8pm | 6 weeks | £90

Once you’ve built those foundations, Silver and Gold give you the opportunity to keep progressing and make those skills more reliable, more challenging and much more useful in everyday life.

We’ll build on the work you’ve already done, introducing greater distractions, more challenging exercises and more demanding levels of focus, control and teamwork.

As you progress through Silver and Gold, we’ll work on skills such as reliable recalls, emergency stops, self-control around major distractions and more advanced teamwork exercises.

And, because we’re Nutter Dogs, we’re not interested in skills that only work in a training environment. The aim is to build a dog and handler team who can use what they’ve learned in the real world – even when there are squirrels, other dogs and all the other exciting things life throws at them.

Silver and Gold levels are open to dogs who have either done Bronze with us, or puppy or foundation training classes elsewhere.

Before you book…

Group classes are a brilliant way to learn new skills and practise them around distractions, but they’re not the right environment for every dog.

Our classes are best suited to dogs who can work reasonably comfortably around other dogs and people and who are able to engage with their handler in a group environment.

If your dog is very worried around other dogs, highly reactive, struggles to cope in busy environments or is likely to find a group class overwhelming, private training may be a better place to start. It gives us the space to work on the things your dog needs without putting them in a situation they’re not ready for.

We’re also happy to have a chat if you’re unsure. We’d much rather help you choose the right starting point than have you book a class that isn’t going to work for you or your dog. Drop us a message – we’re here to help.
